The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) is an independent commission that promotes quality patient care in America's medical transportation system by establishing and maintaining comprehensive standards for the ambulance service industry. In 2017, Advanced Medical Transport received its sixth consecutive three-year accreditation from (CAAS) for compliance with required national standards of excellence. This accreditation is the “gold standard” in the ambulance industry, with standards that often exceed local and state regulations. To become accredited, ambulance providers must complete a comprehensive self-assessment and pass an outside review conducted by CAAS.
