The CardioReviver Grant Program was established to financially assist qualified organizations seeking to acquire an emergency defibrillator.
AMT’s CardioReviver Grant Program highlights layperson lifesaving possibilities with easy-to-use devices that are readily available. With a cost that can reach $4,500 per installation, AMT is focusing on equipping the community with the same lifesaving technology used by its paramedics when they respond to emergency calls.
According to AMT Executive Director Andrew Rand, "At the onset of cardiac arrest, each passing minute reduces a person’s likelihood of survival by 10 percent. Placing CardioRevivers closer to victims, coupled with community CPR training, is the lowest-cost, highest-value solution to reducing out-of-hospital death from sudden cardiac arrest."

Sandy Randle, AMT's CardioReviver Coordinator, states, "We challenge the community to take responsibility for helping save lives by accepting their role in the chain of survival by calling 9-1-1, then beginning CPR and early defibrillation with the CardioReviver." A layperson can more dramatically impact a person’s chances of survival than anyone else.
