Heart Attack & Stroke Warnings
Memorize the following symptoms of a heart attack and stroke.
You could save a life
including yours!
Warnings of a heart attack:
- Chest pressure
- Pain that radiates to the shoulders, neck or arms (especially the left arm)
- Lightheadedness, sweating or nausea
- Shortness of breath
Warnings of a stroke (Brain Attack):
- Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg (especially on one
side of the body)
- Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
- Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
- Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Sudden, severe headache with no known cause
If you experience warning signs of either a
heart attack or a stroke, call 9-1-1 immediately!
