Financial Assistance Program

Advanced Medical Transport is a not-for-profit organization that provides both emergency and scheduled medical transportation. As part of our commitment to provide charitable services, we developed the Financial Assistance Program.

This program provides discounts on transportation charges for patients based upon the patient's income and the size of their family. To qualify, patients simply submit an application to our customer service department. Based upon a patient's need, discounts may range from 10% to 100% of the patient's bill.

It is not our policy to allow discounts for amounts that have been paid by an insurance company directly to the patient.

The following patients are not eligible for financial assistance:

Patients who have received payment from an insurance company or third party and have not turned over payment on their account within 14 days.
Patients who do not have automobile insurance and were transported due to an automobile accident.
Patients who apply for financial assistance to cover their portion of an insurance deductible or co-payment.
Patients whose account has been turned over to an outside collection agency.
Patients who are full-time students, under the age of 21, and are a dependent of a parent. Students must apply through their parents' financial information.

Billing and Insurance Services

We minimize your paperwork by billing both public and private insurance directly for you.

Medicare/Medicaid Services

Unlike many ambulance companies, we "accept assignment," which means that we accept as payment-in-full exactly what Medicare allows. We handle all paperwork, including invoicing primary and secondary insurance carriers, so many patients never even receive a bill.
