Improve. That one word describes the history behind Advanced Medical Transport.

The desire to improve the EMS system in the Peoria area was the driving force that led the three Peoria hospitals (OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Proctor Hospital, Methodist Medical Center) and other key community leaders to create what is now known as the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance service for Central Illinois... Advanced Medical Transport.

A not-for-profit community organization, AMT does not receive any local taxpayer subsidy. We are governed by a local board of healthcare, business and community leaders and have assumed a leadership role beyond our initial purpose. Our history of embracing technology, improving response times, efficiency and productivity, has led us to our next endeavor - the EMS Research and Training Institute.

But we won't stop here. We are an evolving organization. AMT will continue to grow... to improve.
